Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Dialysis Nurse to join our Dialysis Unit. The successful candidate will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
This role is essential for ensuring the health and well-being of our patients with kidney disorders.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Administer dialysis treatments to patients, monitoring their vital signs and overall condition.
Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment to ensure their safety and comfort.
Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, treatment plans, and care management.
Technical Duties:
Prepare and operate dialysis machines, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of dialysis equipment.
Monitor and document patients' responses to treatment, making necessary adjustments.
Medical Management:
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in dialysis care and treatment.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure to practice nursing in Nigeria.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dialysis unit or related healthcare setting.
Certification in Nephrology Nursing is preferred.
Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures, equipment, and patient care practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
