Jami Al Hakeem Foundation is a Nonprofit, Non-Governmental Organization, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2008. The foundation since its inception has extensive experience in coordinating programme interventions across communities and various target audience including youths, women, and girls. The organization has vast experience in coordination, management and administration of development programmes that bring together a range of stakeholders, including State and non-State actors. Job Summary
The Intern will support and manage the implementation of various programs.
He/she will play a critical role in supporting and managing the implementation of various programs within our organization, work closely with students, volunteers, and other stakeholders, to ensure successful execution, monitoring, and evaluation of project.
Duties / Responsibilities
Carry out field visits to project locations and conduct an assessment of the activities including qualitative data analysis
Maintain and keep up to date the existing database of projects
To continuously research new projects through primary research and maintain contact with partners
Have the initiative to work independently and with teams on field visits, and be able to efficiently source and communicate major challenges to supervisors
Critical thinking to address the challenges identified in during project design and implementation, be confident to express new ideas, support research findings and ability to communicate ideas clearly to colleagues
The intern will work as part of the organization’s program team and assist in developing program strategy, drafting program activity proposals and reports, supporting the monitoring and evaluation efforts, and overseeing activity budgets.
Carry out any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Organization.
Technical Expertise, Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Social science, or related fields.
2 - 5 years work experience.
Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating programs
Demonstrated experience working in teams, as well as, working independently with minimum supervision
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to work under pressure
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
Excellent writing ability, strong interpersonal, group facilitation and oral presentation skills
Ability to work to deadlines and excellent attention to detail
A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a commitment to diversity in the workplace
Results-oriented with a strong commitment to get the job done on time and with highest professional standards
Good computer skills and proficient in Microsoft applications -excel, word, PowerPoint, etc.
