Job Title: Senior Category Executive

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Role

• To set & deploy the Trade Marketing Business Plan of an assigned brand/category and manage the execution of all necessary national & tailored activities to increase company Sales and maximize profitability through efficient spending within these categories/brands.

Accountabilities
Relationship with Suppliers/Principals:

• Prepares and updates all customized reports with the principle
• Tracks the budgets that are aligned with suppliers and makes sure that they are spent as per the trade plan agreed.

Brand Management:

• Executes the joint business plan for the brands to focus the efforts and maximize brand sales.
• Executes the Marketing Plan to grow brand sales.
• Works with local agencies on the execution of the brand marketing activities and development/deployment of in-store & POS material to ensure top-quality execution and achieve brand image/equity objectives
• Analyze brand sales data and market share trends and come up with meaningful conclusions and insights to develop the necessary marketing activities.

Communication with the Sales Team:

• Communicates the brand marketing plans and activities to the Sales team on time to ensure flawless execution of these activities.
• Conducts frequent field visits and communicates observations to management to ensure in-store execution meets brand strategy.
• Collects and understands sales’ customer objectives and plans, and develops the necessary brand plans that fit the customer objectives to maximize sales and secure customer support.

Category & Shopper Understanding:

• Outlines the dynamics of the brand’s category to develop the necessary activities. (Competitors, pricing, range, activities, etc.)
• Collects data concerning shopper needs, habits, and trends concerning the assigned brand to develop the necessary marketing activities.

Qualifications

• BA Degree in Business Administration / Marketing
• 2 - 3 years of experience in Sales & Branding
• FMCG experience is a must
• Excellent computer skills: PowerPoint & Excel
• Strong knowledge of Marketing.
