Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in advising clients on sustainability strategies, helping them achieve their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
This role involves conducting comprehensive sustainability assessments, developing actionable plans and strategies, and supporting the implementation of sustainability initiatives for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability Assessments:
Conduct thorough sustainability assessments for clients by utilizing IPMC’s proprietary online ESG assessment questionnaire.
Generate detailed reports based on the questionnaire responses and secondary data sources.
Strategy Development:
Develop customized sustainability strategies and action plans that align with clients’ business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Provide expert advice on sustainability best practices and emerging trends.
Implementation Support:
Assist clients in implementing sustainability initiatives, including setting goals, tracking progress, and measuring outcomes.
Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate client staff on sustainability practices.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze sustainability data from the online questionnaire and secondary sources to prepare comprehensive reports.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sustainability metrics to clients and stakeholders.
Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and challenges.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear and actionable insights and recommendations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Keep abreast of relevant sustainability regulations and standards, ensuring clients remain compliant.
Provide guidance on navigating the regulatory landscape and meeting compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, and community organizations, to support sustainability initiatives.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement processes, including consultations and public meetings.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest sustainability trends, tools, and technologies.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve IPMC’s sustainability services and methodologies.
Project Management:
Manage multiple sustainability projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Thought Leadership:
Contribute to IPMC’s thought leadership by writing articles, presenting at conferences, and participating in industry forums.
Share insights and knowledge to promote sustainability within the organization and the wider community.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field. (Masters degree is an added advantage)
1 - 3years of experience in sustainability consulting or a related role.
Strong knowledge of ESG principles, sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD), and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and social impact.
