What have we (HNDs) done that we can not be measured with degree. Is it that we dont study hard or we dont know book. Well if they cannot I suggest they should close all the polytechnics in this country. Massive job by foot

Dear fellow graduates, without being rude, I think you check your grammar properly before making these comments because honestlt speaking, if I were an employer, I would never conceive employing graduates who murder me with their bad vocabulary. Imagine the extent of murder that could then be committed by such in the office when employed.
Please, I am pleading, endeavour to work on your grammar, both tenses and spellings. They will help portray you better as qualified graduates eligible for the competitive Nigerian Market.

I sometimes wonder where they expected US to get the prequisite and required expirences from? Perhaps from pushing 'wheelbirrow' i guess. Rubbish ! There are old workers who have superglued their asses on their office chairs refusing to part away for vibrant youths to take their places in office...these are government liabilities; as such should be replaced with young people who would stand to be better assets to the government.

We can only be free, when we refuse ourselves to be used the wrong way, corps members used for the last year general elections, were all youths & prospective job seekers. But the manner in which they sold their conscience, to rig elections for stipens is only an indication that we are not ready to control our destinies. We need a collective resistance to such absurd conditions for employment to make any headway. We do really need a revolution to salvage the situation of things in the country. How best do we champion this course should be patinent in minds. The time to act is now.

Frankly,our government is not sensitive to the plight of the unemployed fresh graduates. Where would fresh graduates have this kind of 'exubitant' experience from? The rich will always be richer and the poor should pray for well connection and favour so that they will not pass down poverty to their generations.

The truth must be said no matter how painful; and one obvious truth is dat some of us (graduates) are ''unemployable.'' Obasi made a mistake in the spelling of "Honestly" in his/her comment but it doesn't change the fact that there is an iota of truth in what he/she said. some of us who call ourselves graduates reflect characters that rather portray us otherwise. Like it or Hate it but the fact still remains that, as graduates, we should be able to express ourselves correctly using the right tenses; otherwise, what then would be the difference between us and those who are illiterate? As much as i comdemn the selfish acts of the government in terms of job creation; i also urge us (the youths) to work hard to show us worthy when the jobs begin to come. Remember "Study to show thyself approved..." God bless us all!

How can somebody that calls himself Christian be requiring for 15years experience in Job recruitment after we will be saying '' Youth are future Leaders of Tomorrow''. How can we now take up the mantle from our fathers is now a big problem instead lies and deciet has been our struggle. Folks, to be very candid i'm highly disgusted by the quality of comments by some of us regarding the above advertised positions. some of the comments like"is it adverts for retirees. should be 50yrs and 10 or15yrs etc" can be anything but disappointing. do we want to become sudden managers without the requisite experience? Is like the urgly culture noticed in our universities are gradually cropping into the society where students would drive big geeps and other flashy cars, abandon the hostel to live flats and mansions etc and even live above their means without necessarily accounting for the means of their livelihood. Sometimes some of us mount unnecessary pressures on lecturers for scores we did not merit. This is the scenario that is playing out here. If an advert for job positions are published with the accompanying requirements in age and qualifications,it is left us to size ourselves and if you meet the requirements you apply and if you don't you wait for the ones we actually qualify for than cast aspersions on our senior citizens.
In the above positions advertised,I assume the successful candidates will in turn set up the offices and then call for the employment of the other and lower positions. employment is by grade and there are obvious instances where those above the ages of 35yrs were refused employment and even bared from applying. yet those affected went to the university even sufferred the horrendous and incesant strikes that have now affected their ages.
Folks,I am too an applicant and a young graduate of second class upper division from the university of Ibadan. I know that we all have our own opportunities but we should not spoil others in order to get ours. tx
