We are affiliated to several international organizations in Europe and North America and have offices in these locations. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Academic Business Services

Locations: Port Harcourt, Rivers & South-South
Employment Type: Full-time

The Candidate

  • We seek a candidate with deep understanding of the trend and development in the education business landscape, driven by technology and the need to make learning fun by exploring leaners natural learning path and developing uniquely crafted teaching techniques, real-time learning programs and structured events to deepen learning experience, and make it stick.
  • The candidate shall have hands-on knowledge of international admissions program, and examination such SAT, required to help learners forge a stronger career and growth opportunities.
  • The role is for an explorer, non-conventional out of the box thinker, organizer, innovator and for the brilliant mind that loves education, with a strong analytical and business development capability.
  • Experience in managing a school or any learning or education regulating agency at a senior level will be an advantage.
  • The candidate must be a good capital steward with strong enterprise acumen.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with a proven ability to lead thoughtful, transformative action within complex organizations.
  • Knowledge of research, principles, and practices around diversity, inclusion, and ethnic/tribal equity.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, schools, or organizations to achieve convergence in strategy and practice.
  • Ability to meaningfully engage a wide variety of diverse stakeholders in challenging dialogue and critical self-reflection around ethnic or religious identity, implicit bias, and structural inequities.

The Role

  • The role will develop and implement a robust learning program driven by technology.
  • The candidate shall explore, initiate and drive alternative learning programs through utilization of all learning infrastructure and means including YouTube, TV, various learning app, online learning, promote the integration of learning and education curriculum and program from Europe, North America and Asia. And transmission of structured learning into classroom and homes for students.
  • The candidate shall enforce international standard of learning while being complaint with local regulations.
  • Develop policies and procedure and ensure a functional operating system.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of technology tailored learning across the institution
  • Oversee the development and deployment of technical trade learning program, internship, field hand-on participation and integration with regular curriculum in conjunction with chief academic officer
  • Oversee and deployment of games and play program to excite and stimulate learning and interest including sporting infrastructure, virtual reality .programs and in-doors gaming activities
  • oversees and directs the following areas: new Facilities projects and maintenance, Safety & Security, Procurement, and Information and Technology Services, catering and janitorial services, transportation etc
  • development of operations budget, planning and in conjunction with Chief Academic Officer develop growth plan and meet growth targets.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of tools to monitor implementation of initiatives, business operations, and ensure compliance with established operating standards. Proactively identify, analyse, and address off-track metrics to achieve outlined goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and align teams to realize efficiencies.
  • Partner with Finance to implement cost savings initiatives to reduce wasteful operational spending and align school resources to the organizational priorities.
  • Responsible for the determination and execution of all the budgets for operational departments in compliance with established local, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Diploma, Bachelor, or Master’s Degree in Engineering and Technology, Sciences, Finance, Business Administration, Education or similar discipline
  • 7+ years of strategic senior leadership experience in a large, fast-paced, and high-functioning education, technology, research, or related organizations;
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a large, complex organization and a broad range of stakeholders to reach ambitious goals around major change management initiatives
  • Experience in usingdata-driven inquiry to drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong exposure and experience with technology enabling learning tools Level of studies.
