Job Summary

• We are seeking a reliable and experienced Interstate Commercial Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of Passenger’s and goods’ across state lines, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. This role requires long-distance driving and adherence to all federal and state transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Transportation: Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to various destinations across multiple states.
• Route Planning: Plan routes effectively to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
• Compliance: Adhere to all federal and state transportation laws, including Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition. Report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of working hours, delivery records, and any incidents or accidents.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
• Load Management: Secure and handle cargo properly to prevent damage and ensure safety during transit.
• Problem-Solving: Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during the trip, such as delays or mechanical problems, in a calm and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for interstate driving.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in long-haul or interstate driving.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal and state transportation laws and regulations.
• SSCE/WASSCE
• Age: 25 years and above

Skills:

• Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to navigate using GPS and other navigation tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
