Job Title: Area Sales Executive (ASE)

Job Description
An Area Sales Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of a company's sales department in a particular Area / Region.
Manage the budget for the area / region to achieve his/her deliverables.
The incumbent must have a good knowledge of the are / region under his / her jurisdiction and develop the business in the area / region through effective management of Distributors and Strategic Wholesalers.
Achieving Growth and Sales Target:
The ASE oversees the sales activities within a specific area/region to ensure that set targets are met and the business grows significantly.
Supervise Sales Teams by leading and directing sales teams, supporting them in achieving their targets.
Assign sales territories and quotas to sales teams and representatives.
Sales Records and Research. Analyse sales records, customer accounts, and researching new product opportunities.
Distributors Enlistments:
Enlist and effectively manage the Distributors in assigned area/region through effective business development.
Keep an up-to-date outlet universe of his/her region to aid team enlistment.
Carry out effective implementation of his/her region Route to Market (RTM) coverage plan.
Effective cluster mapping of coverage region.
Customers Relationship Management:
Build Client Relationships by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Build positive relationships about the company’s offerings with both customers.
Build an effective communication chain with customers.
Resolve customers issues, challenges and eradicating conflict.
Business Plan Development:
ASE work with the sales department to create business plans and strategies for his/her assigned area.
Client Interaction keep by visiting existing and potential customers, explaining product features, and securing sales contracts.
Territory Analysis for business development is key by analysing sales territories and making necessary adjustments as needed.
Sales Forcasting:
Accurately predict the area / region’s future sales, which is critical for aligning inventory with anticipated demand, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimizing revenue.
Analyse market trends, historical sales data, and seasonal influences to make informed decisions on stock levels and promotional strategies.
Conduct sales forecasts to determine financial objectives and target markets.
Budget Preparation:
Prepare and submitting region’s annual budgets with detailed expenditure for approval.
Ensure that sales team under his/her region adhere strictly to this budget, company policies and procedures.
Performance Monitoring, Motivation and Coaching:
Monitor his/her sales team performance and providing coaching as needed.
Review, approve and evaluate their daily calls/trade visits report.
Organize conference calls or zoom/google meet meetings with region’s sales team to discuss sales activities and make decisions.
Reporting:
Generate sales reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually from region’s sales team.
Present periodic reports on region’s sales operations to the National sales & Marketing Manager.
Competition and Industry:
Monitor of competitor activity within his/her region.
Attend trade shows, conferences and industry functions.
Requirements
B.Sc / HND in Marketing, Business Admin or related courses.
Must have 2-3 years sales and marketing experience in wines & spirit sector / or FMCG.
Must live and reside in Port Harcourt and available to resume immediately.
Compensation
The Company shall pay Salary and Commission on sales.
