The position
We are seeking an experienced and tech-savvy research associate to join our team.
The role will include contributing to multiple research projects per year and conducting health research-related activities.
The ideal candidate will become familiar with data generated through mDoc’s different products and services, propose actionable projects around the data, stay abreast of literature and evidence relevant to mDoc’s work, and inform the business on actionable decisions from a scientific perspective.
Along with the mDoc leadership team, the research associate will cultivate an environment reflecting the values of mDoc, including integrity, quality, respect for our members and team members. Providing optimal member-centred care and experience is of critical importance to mDoc so we are looking for people who embody this in mind and action.
The research associate must be data-driven or willing to be data-driven such that they are looking constantly at our member needs, responding to these needs, and also looking at population-level data to propose how to drive continued engagement and positive impact.
Responsibilities
Design and implement diverse research designs in digital health interventions
Revise data collection and analysis methods relevant to mDoc’s work and metrics of interest
Appraise research and business opportunities in collaboration with various external organizations (from an evidence-generating perspective)
Provide statistical and analytic support to other departments within mDoc as necessary
Collaborate with and assist cross-functional teams with improved methodological approaches, potential studies and literature
Critically reviewing written outputs produced by peers, clinical and other agencies
Contributing to written outputs including proposals, grant applications, and publications (abstracts, manuscripts, etc.)
Communicating with senior researchers to understand business challenges and potential solutions
Assist in developing data collection manuals fit for research projects for staff adherence
Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by line management
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required
Minimum of 5-7 years experience in healthcare research
3+ years experience in quantitative and qualitative data (collection, analysis, synthesis, management)
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software (e.g. R, SPSS)
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, familiar with Google Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for concise reporting, and providing insights to support company-wide decision-making
Ability to work independently and prioritize workload with minimal supervision
Technology savvy and enthusiastic adopter of work and personal tools
Commitment to and interest in data responsibility (privacy, safety, ethics, etc.)
Possess honesty and personal integrity
Reliable, professional, computer literate, energetic, and friendly
