Job Description
The Lead, IT Infrastructure Presales Engineer will collaborate and build trust with sales teams, customers, and internal technical teams to understand client requirements, design appropriate solutions, articulate the value and benefits of the proposed infrastructure solutions, and bridge the gap between technical capabilities and business requirements to ensure the successful implementation of IT infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
Act as a technical expert during pre-sales activities, including client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
Design comprehensive and customized IT infrastructure solutions that align with client goals and objectives.
Collaborate with sales teams and customers to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
Educate and advise customers on the features, benefits, and technical aspects of proposed infrastructure solutions.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional technical support and demonstrating expertise in IT infrastructure solutions.
Address client concerns and objections and provide guidance to sales teams in positioning the solution effectively.
Prepare detailed technical proposals, solution architecture diagrams, and implementation plans that articulate the proposed infrastructure solution.
Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) testing and validation of proposed infrastructure solutions to ensure they meet customer requirements.
Demonstrate the capabilities and performance of the solution and address any technical issues or limitations that may arise.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and product advancements related to IT infrastructure solutions.
Work closely with internal technical teams, including Solution architects, engineers, and project managers, to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales implementation.
Requirements and Skills
Bachelor’s Degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Electronics, and Technology
7+ years of work experience in Networking engineering, or as an Enterprise System administrator.
Minimum of 5years pre-sales experience.
CCNP, CCNA, ITIL
Knowledge of SDN solutions such as ACI/VMware NSX/storage solution
Knowledge of Network protocols BGP and OSPF and F5 infrastructure
Any professional/Expert level Certification in Cisco, Dell, HP, Juniper etc.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Good time management, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
Experience using Cisco Commerce platform.
Candidate must have led a team of engineers.
