Job Title: Trainee Associate, Project Management
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description
The Trainee Associate, Project Management will assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
The role also involves a significant focus on engineering drawing interpretation and project evaluation to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Review, interpret, and create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for construction projects.
Ensure that all drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Maintain up-to-date versions of engineering drawings and ensure they are accessible to relevant team members.
Conduct regular project evaluations to assess progress, quality, and adherence to plans.
Use data and metrics to evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Implement corrective actions based on evaluation outcomes to ensure project success.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols.
Monitor and report on project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts.
Ensure all project-related financial documentation is accurately maintained.
Prepare evaluation reports and present findings to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Proven experience in project management, engineering drawing, construction processes and project evaluation.
Proficient in engineering drawing and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, project management software etc).
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This position may require occasional travel to various construction sites.
