Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned and professional Fine Dining Restaurant Manager with a proven track record of growth and success in the restaurant industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive managerial experience in fine dining establishments, a deep understanding of the Abuja market and social circles, and a strategic mindset focused on driving sales and exploring new market opportunities. This role requires a hands-on leader who can enhance guest satisfaction, optimize operations, and achieve financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Implement and enforce high standards of service and hospitality.
Monitor and manage the restaurant's budget, including labor costs, food costs, and operational expenses.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, chefs, and support staff.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Develop and implement staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal efficiency.
Guest Experience:
Maintain a strong presence on the floor, interacting with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Uphold the highest standards of service and hospitality.
Develop and maintain relationships with regular guests, enhancing loyalty and repeat business.
Manage and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Sales and Marketing:
Develop and execute strategies to drive sales and increase revenue.
Explore new market opportunities and develop initiatives to attract new customers.
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and implement promotional events and activities.
Analyze sales data and market trends to adjust strategies as needed.
Financial Management:
Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for senior management.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability.
Develop and manage the restaurant's annual budget.
Quality Control:
Ensure the highest quality of food and beverage service.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and update the menu, ensuring variety and quality.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and ambiance.
Community Engagement:
Represent the restaurant at community and networking events.
Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
Promote the restaurant's presence in the Abuja community.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in fine dining restaurants.
Proven track record of driving sales and achieving financial targets.
Deep understanding of the Abuja market and customer preferences.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency in restaurant management software and financial reporting.
