Job Description

• We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc as a Social Performance Manager.
• The role involves evaluating and addressing Social Risks associated with DSR Operations, developing a suitable Social Performance Management System to align with DSR Corporate Objectives.
• The role also includes strategizing and executing protocols within our Core Operations to mitigate foreseeable social risks connected to our business activities and prevent any resulting impacts as necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supporting relevant functions and undertake accurate Social and Human Rights Impact Identification, Assessment and Mitigation activities for all site.
• Ensuring Social projects are executed in line with short and medium term Corporate Social Responsibilities by monitoring and tracking milestones.
• Monitoring and tracking compliance of the business to Corporate Social Responsibilities, Stakeholders expectations and societal needs.
• Identifying gaps and investment needs to be filled in for host communities, propose recommendations and track executions of the agreed
• Manages perceptions of societies on the business, etc. Collaborate with CRM, HSE and other management staff in the discharge of his responsibilities
• Monitor, track and score the business performance in terms of compliance to social relationship management with stakeholders and advise the business on how to improve the relationships.
• Advise the management and the Community Relations Manager (CRM) on how to effectively manage the impacts.
• Support DSR Head of the Health, Safety & Environment - HSE, in the Development and Execution of Environmental & Social Impact Assessment.
• Ensure that our operations are in full compliance with Global Social Performance Standards.

Requirements

• A Degree or its equivalent in Social Performance / Social Sciences / Sustainability  / Public Relations, or related field.
• Professional certification in Public / Community Relations
