• Plan International is calling on all interested competent and duly established companies, suppliers and service providers in Abuja and in the States where it operates to participate in the 2024 - 2025 prequalification of supplier's exercise in any of the below-listed goods, services or works area(s):

Important Notice
Existing suppliers should consider this RFI as a revalidation exercise and are required to participate. All existing suppliers will be delisted and relisted again through this exercise.

How to Apply
Interested and qualified suppliers should submit their responses to the RFI only to locations where they have an operational presence. Hard copies of the RFI documents should be bound, sealed in an envelope, and marked on the top right corner with the category reference number and category description, for example, “PIN-RFI-01 MEDICAL LABORATORY CONSUMABLES”.

All quotations must be addressed and submitted to the locations of interest as listed below and addressed to:

Responses to our RFI can also be submitted in soft copies to any of the below email addresses for locations where you have an operational presence. The subject of the email must reference the specific category number they wish to respond e.g. “PIN/RFI01 – MEDICAL LABORATORY CONSUMABLES”.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

• Cover Page (indicating category(s) of interest and related LOT Number(s);
• Supplier company profile with, registered address(s), official/functional email addresses and phone numbers of key personnel
• Evidence of Supplier valid registration with Corporate Affairs Commission with a copy of Memorandum and Article of Association, form CAC2 and form CAC7; OR Status Report.  
• Details of any current legal actions pending against the supplier or its directors and/or office bearers.
• Relationships with any parent company or joint venture arrangements (if applicable).
• Evidence of Supplier Tax Clearance Certificate for the year ending 2022 or 2023.    
• Evidence of Financial Capability (Audited Accounts for the year ending 2022 or 2023);
• Bank Reference Letter duly addressed to the Head of Supply Chain Plan International.
• Evidence of SCUML.
• Evidence of Registration with Professional Organizations, Regulatory Bodies, Manufacturers and/or Certificate of Authorized Dealership and Distributorship with Makes, Brands, Equipment, Machine and/or accessories as it relates to the field of business endeavour;
• Evidence of possession of experience in the line of business you are applying for. Prospecting Suppliers must provide at least five (5) copies of completed Job Orders and Proof of Deliveries (Delivery Notes or Job completion Notification) in areas of business endeavour;
• Where possible, provide reference letters from at least five (5) reputable organizations, preferably NGOs, attesting to active or past business relationships and level of performance (the letters or lists must have relevant addresses, contact persons, telephone numbers and emails) for due diligence confirmation;
• As part of our ongoing Gender Responsive Procurement Initiatives, companies with one or more of the following are highly recommended to apply:  
  • If headed up by a woman
  • If the supplier is a women-owned business: A legal entity in any field that is more than 51% owned, managed, and controlled by one or more women.
  • If the % of women in management positions is over 35%
  • If % of women workers is 55% or above
  • If robust gender equality initiatives/policies are in place and active.
  • Any other relevant supporting document that could aid this RFI.

Instructions to Prospective Suppliers

Additional Information

• Responses to the RFI submitted after the deadline will NOT be accepted
• Plan International is Value Added Tax (VAT) exempted but deducts withholding tax (WHT) in compliance with relevant Nigeria Tax Laws.

• As part of the prequalification process, Plan International may visit the location(s) of prospecting suppliers to assess their physical presence, capacity and capability.
• Only successful pre-qualified suppliers would be invited to participate in Plan International’s routine Request for Quotation (RFQ), Invitation to Bid (ITB) and/or Request for Proposals (RFP) for the next one (1) year.
• You are expected to limit yourself to where you have experience, required documentation and operational presence.
• Any unsolicited attempt to influence Plan International's internal selection process in favor of any company(s) will result in immediate disqualification.
• A company cannot express interest in more than three (3) categories and must be guided by the following:
  • Must have an operational presence for each category,
  • Must actively operate the business,
  • Must express such interest separately for each category with full documentation and requirements that will make it eligible.
