Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Conduct variance analysis and report findings to management.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning.
Cost Management:
Analyze and report on cost variances and cost control measures.
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to ensure accurate product costing.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Prepare financial models and projections to assist in investment and financing decisions.
Perform profitability analysis for different business units and products.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
Management Reporting:
Prepare and present management reports to senior leadership.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions.
Collaborate with department heads to provide financial support and guidance.
Systems and Processes:
Maintain and improve financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Implement and maintain ERP systems for better financial management.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
Provide mentorship and support to junior finance staff.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in management accounting or a related role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage 300, SAP).
Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze complex financial data.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
