Job Description
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent.
The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicating proactively with the HR department and business management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership:
Partner with senior management to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that support the strategic growth of the business.
Understand the business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company.
Act as a change agent, working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Talent Management:
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, ensuring the company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees.
Develop and implement effective onboarding plans.
Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
Employee Relations:
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
HR Metrics and Reporting:
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
Maintain HR data and prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
Performance Management:
Support managers in evaluating performance and providing feedback.
Ensure the effective implementation of performance management systems.
Promote and facilitate effective performance management practices, including performance reviews and feedback sessions.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner role.
Proven experience in managing HR operations, including recruitment, talent management, and employee relations.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build strong, effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software.
