Job Objectives
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Investment Manager to join our team in the investment portfolio and assets management sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client portfolios, developing investment strategies, and ensuring the growth and profitability of investment assets.
This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, investment products, and client relationship management.
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
Portfolio Management:
Develop and implement investment strategies tailored to client objectives, risk tolerance, and market conditions.
Monitor and review client portfolios regularly to ensure alignment with investment goals.
Conduct portfolio rebalancing to optimize returns and manage risks.
Market Analysis and Research:
Perform thorough research and analysis of financial markets, economic trends, and investment opportunities.
Stay informed on market developments, geopolitical events, and other factors affecting investments.
Generate insightful reports and provide recommendations based on analysis and research findings.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals and providing personalized investment advice.
Conduct regular client meetings to review portfolio performance and discuss investment strategies.
Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess potential risks associated with investment portfolios and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Monitor market conditions and adjust investment strategies to minimize risk exposure.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and analyze the performance of investment portfolios, comparing results against benchmarks and client expectations.
Prepare and present detailed performance reports to clients and senior management.
Provide transparent and accurate reporting on portfolio performance, investment activities, and market conditions.
Investment Strategy Development:
Develop comprehensive investment strategies that align with the firm's objectives and client goals.
Evaluate new investment opportunities and assess their potential impact on portfolios.
Implement strategic asset allocation and diversification to achieve optimal returns.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Collaborate with other investment professionals and team members to share insights and strategies.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of investment processes and methodologies.
Client Acquisition and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the client base and increasing assets under management.
Develop and execute strategies for client acquisition, retention, and growth.
Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all investment activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to investment strategies.
Liaise with compliance and legal teams to address regulatory requirements and issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CFP) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, or asset management.
Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and economic principles.
Proven track record of managing investment portfolios and achieving superior returns.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
