We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hotel Manager

Location: Independence Layout, Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Operations Management:

• Supervise daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments.
• Ensure high standards of guest service and satisfaction are maintained at all times.
• Monitor and manage hotel occupancy rates, room inventory, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue.
• Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Staff Management:

• Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff, including front desk agents, housekeepers, maintenance workers, and food and beverage servers.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to ensure high levels of productivity and job satisfaction.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and personal growth.
• Address staffing issues and conflicts promptly and effectively.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the hotel revenue forecasting, expense control, and financial reporting.
• Implement cost-saving measures and revenue enhancement strategies to improve profitability.
• Monitor financial performance metrics and adjust operations as needed to achieve financial goals.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.

Sales and Marketing:

• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new guests and retain existing customers.
• Participate in sales activities, such as client meetings, site inspections, and networking events, to promote the hotel and generate business.
• Utilize online and offline marketing channels to increase brand awareness and drive bookings.

Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance throughout the hotel.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Address any issues or deficiencies identified during inspections promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of local market trends, competitors, and industry regulations.
• Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
