We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sales Development Representative

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full time

About the Role

  • As our sales development representative, you will be tasked with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, forging strategic cooperate partnerships, and nurturing new and existing client relationships.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to accelerate our B2B market presence and improve processes that shorten sales cycles.
  • You will augment already-existing sales procedures with newer strategies to discover, qualify, and close deals.
  • You will tell stories about our brand, product, and mission in ways that attract our target market and make them curious and ultimately, more knowledgeable about what we do.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Identify, generate, and qualify leads by researching and targeting individuals or companies that fit the business's ideal customer profile.
  • Reaching out to potential clients through cold calling, emailing, and physical or social selling.
  • Creating detailed and relevant business documents to be shared with prospects at any point in the sales cycle.
  • Working closely with marketing, operations, and product to initiate contact with prospects who may have shown interest through various channels as well as aligning strategies about leads and market conditions and providing feedback from potential customers to help tailor marketing campaigns or product development.
  • Setting up appointments or product demonstrations for potential customers with a more experienced salesperson or account executive who will then try to close the deal.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the company's customer relationship management (CRM) system by logging interactions, tracking lead progress, and managing schedules to keep the sales process running smoothly.
  • Following up with leads who have shown interest but have not yet moved to the next stage in the sales funnel.
  • Brand Advocacy

Requirements Skills & Experience
Professional Background:

  • Must have at least 1 - 2 years of experience in B2B sales in tech, logistics, e-commerce or any other related field.
  • Experience in logistics/supply is a huge addition

Technical Requirements:

  • Should own a personal computer and a high-quality mobile phone (preferably)
  • Must have experience using basic sales tools like Hubspot & Microsoft Excel

Soft skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and keep track of multiple running activities at once.
  • Must be resilient and persistent even in the face of many “NO’s”
  • Ability to translate technical concepts through easy-to-understand methods.
  • Ability and willingness to speak publicly
  • Ability to write, speak, and explain concepts you understand concisely.
