Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Geologist to join our team.
• The Geologist will conduct research and analysis to understand the composition, structure, and other physical aspects of the Earth.
• This role involves fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and data interpretation to support exploration, environmental projects, and natural resource management.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Studies: Conduct field investigations and site assessments to collect samples and data on geological formations, mineral deposits, and natural resources.
• Data Analysis: Analyze geological data using various techniques and tools, including GIS (Geographic Information Systems), remote sensing, and laboratory equipment.
• Mapping: Create detailed maps and cross-sections to illustrate findings and aid in the interpretation of geological data.
• Report Writing: Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Environmental Impact Studies: Assess the environmental impact of construction projects, mining operations, and other activities that alter the landscape.
• Project Management: Oversee and manage geological projects from inception to completion, ensuring all activities comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals to provide geological expertise on various projects.
• Education and Outreach: Participate in public education initiatives and present findings to governmental bodies, community groups, and industry conferences.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in geological research, fieldwork, or related activities.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in geological software, GIS, and remote sensing tools. Strong analytical and laboratory skills.
• Certifications: Professional Geologist (PG) certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to conduct fieldwork in various terrains and weather conditions.

 Salary
N120,000 Monthly.
