Senior Carpenter at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Carpenter

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 3-year renewable contract 

Duties

• Assist in providing new design of furniture.
• Assist in regular work at the carpentry workshop.
• Repair/refurbish laboratory, offices and housing furniture as may be required.
• Assist the carpentry superintendent to supervise staff.
• Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Carpentry and Woodwork or any other related field with a minimum of five (5) years experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

Competencies:
The ideal candidate must:

• Have wide range of experience in handling carpentry works.
• Have good communication skills.·
