Job Description
We seek to recruit a talented and driven Mid-level Financial Analyst to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid financial analysis and reporting foundation, with the ability to support key business initiatives and provide insights to senior management.
Responsibilities
Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support strategic decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the company and its clients
Assist in the preparation of investor presentations and other external communications materials
Manage investor relations
Complete monthly and annual financial reports in line with IFRS standards
Present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends
Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with division heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
Monitor and analyse the company’s financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying areas of opportunity or concern
Collaborate with members of the Corporate Finance Division to ensure the company remains compliant with all financial regulations and disclosures
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and external audits
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide analytical support for business initiatives
Identify investment opportunities and studying risk factors
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior managementStay current on industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting
Advice the company on how to maximize P&L (controlling cost and increasing revenue)
Assess and periodically review the company’s accounting processes and controls to ensure inflows and outflows are accurately reported by the accounting team.
Support the finance manager in putting in place strong governance and controls across the accounting and finance function
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; and other relevant professional qualifications
An MBA or Master's Degree will be an added advantage
4 - 6 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably in one of the Big 4 accounting firms, a reputable accounting firm or an investment bank
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights
Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques
Proficiency in the use of accounting software e.g. Quick books
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
Experience with financial reporting systems and tools; knowledge of Hyperion or Tableau is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
