Job Title: Project & Service Delivery Engineer

Location: Lagos
Report to: Chief Technical Officer

Job Description

• As our PSE, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects or services are delivered/supported on time and produce the desired results.
• You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s or service organization, resources and timeline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
• Maintaining high performance levels for service-related processes, and implementing improvement activitieswherever necessary
• Taking ownership of critical incidents, coordinating with resolution parties, and establishing effective communication between stakeholders for post-incident reviews
• Ensuring that systems, procedures, and methodologies are in place to support outstanding service delivery.
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
• Interpret customer requirements into technical solutions and designs.
• Generate BoM (Bills of materials) for new and existing projects.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
• Ensures Suppliers & Vendors invoices are processed internally for payments.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements & Skills

• Great educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering for technical project managers
• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in telecoms, satellite, and wireless technologies
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• ITIL understanding is a plus
• 2 – 3 years of cognate experience is required.
