Role Description
Drive the delivery of bancassurance sales budget for assigned location
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Production Volumes & Targets:
The Area Bancassurance Manage must ensure that his/her area/region meet the required production targets set in the sales plan, along the following metrics:
Manpower (Existing and new Banca Coordinators and Associates)
Activity rate for each team (e.g., 80% of associates in team produce at least 1 case in a month) Productivity per team in cases and API per month
Inception rate of the team (Accepted vs incepted numbers where incepted is receipt of first premium) in cases and API
ATS (average ticket/premium size) of a case
Production Quality:
Ensure adequate reporting mechanism is in place to enable monitoring and management of the quality of business that is submitted by the associates within his/her area of coverage.
Ensure that Banca Coordinators analyses the production quality reports and take the required action to correct variances against targets set.
Worksite and BC Activity Management:
Ensure that each Banca Coordinator (BC) has a worksite management plan and that implementation by the Bancassurance Coordinators thereof is monitored and managed.
Ensure a reporting system is in place to monitor the worksite penetration of teams in the branch. Ensure Bancassurance Coordinators effectively utilize the leads management system in place and ensure leads conversion monitoring is cascaded down to the Banca Associates
Establish a regular meeting and call routine with the various Bancassurance Coordinators under his/her area
Ensure that adequate support is available on a branch level so that the Bancassurance Coordinators and Associates can execute their duties effectively.
Ensure the availability of the following support at a branch level:
Reporting support - production of all reports necessary to monitor manpower movement, volume and quality of production targets, premium collection statistics.
New business management support for associates - to ensure submitted business gets issued, that accepted business become incepted (receive first premium), and that paying file size (receipt of ongoing premiums) is maximized.
Administrative and operational support and resources like office/workplace infrastructure, stationery, access to communication facilities e.g. wifi and telephony services, transport facilities where applicable.
Training and development resources to ensure vesting and ongoing skills development of Bancassurance Coordinators and their Associates.
Regular engagement and liaison with Head Office departments to ensure alignment of activities.
Marketing and promotional support to promote the brand in the chosen markets incl. functions to recognize top performers.
Job Requirements and Competencies Specification
Academic Qualification & Work Experience:
First Degree qualification or its equivalent in Marketing/Sales and other related discipline
Minimum of seven (7) years relevant experience in financial services or preferably the insurance industry
Relevant Professional qualification will be an added advantage
Must have a good understanding of the location.
