We are recruiting to fill the position position below in our French Section:
Job Title: Physiotherapist
Location: Jahun, Jigawa
Employment Type: Contract
Contract: 208 working hours per month (12 months renewable with probation period)

Main Purpose
Following a multidisciplinary team approach, the physiotherapist is to plan and carry out comprehensive, patient-centered preventive and rehabilitative intervention plans, by assessing patients’ condition and exposure to risk factors, aiming to maintain and/or improve their physical well-being, for optimal autonomy and participation in all life dimensions.
Job Description
Assess the patient’s physical condition and capacity, ensuring the use of the physio patient form to guide the collection of the subjective and objective history, guide the physical examination, set up the treatment objectives and plan, promoting clinical reasoning and the relevant clinical records.
Elaborate and implement physiotherapy interventions, applied to the context of obstetric fistulas and other peripartum complications, including awareness and education on pelvic health, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and electrophysical agents, with particular emphasis on non-pharma pain management, whenever applicable.
Facilitate body awareness and train patients and caretakers on how to prevent dysfunction and disability associated with obstetric fistulas and other peripartum complications.
Actively monitor and report physiotherapy activities (timely and properly filling in patient forms and the data collection sheet) and critically analyze the collected data, aiming to improve the quality of the physio services.
Report collected data and respective critical analysis, every month.
Prioritize patient data protection and confidentiality.
Ensure that informed consent is offered to each patient before any physio intervention.
Organize and maintain the physiotherapy premises, equipment, and consumables stock.
Place monthly orders to the pharma and logistics, ensuring the continuous availability of the necessary consumables, to promote quality of service.
Report to the technical referent any problem arising in the service, especially the loss/ robbery/damage of medical equipment or medicines, facilitating the implementation of the appropriate measures.
Requirements
Education Essential, Physiotherapist official degree/diploma.
Experience Not required. (the one from the study period is considered as an experience)
Experience with other NGO or MSF is desirable
Languages Essential, local language; desirable, mission working language.
