Memories Groups is located at 130 Sapele / Warri Road, Malachy / Ugbeyiyi Junction, Sapele Delta State. The establishment has two major departments which include the Mall where household appliances, food items and lots more are sold, and the Memories food where food products such as Lilly Cookies and Fresh Biscuits are produced.

Job Description

• We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Lilly Cookies, a Subsidiary of Memories Food, a leading confectionery production company.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving the company’s growth in the competitive biscuit market.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and understand market trends.
• Analyse competitors and provide strategic insights to improve our market position.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market reach.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align business development strategies with company goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Identify client needs and propose suitable product solutions to meet those needs.
• Identify and pursue new sales leads and business opportunities.
• Develop strategic partnerships with distributors, retailers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market feedback.
• Use data and insights to refine business development strategies and improve sales performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or a related role within the food industry, preferably in biscuit or snack production.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
