Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
As the Senior Human Resources Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing human resources strategies to support the overall business objectives.
You will lead HR initiatives, oversee day-to-day HR operations, and contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy and Planning:
Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Participate in long-term workforce planning and talent management.
Employee Relations:
Address employee relations matters, providing guidance and resolution.
Foster a positive work environment and manage employee engagement initiatives.
Talent Acquisition:
Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring effective sourcing, selection, and onboarding of top talent.
Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment partners and networks.
Performance Management:
Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
Provide coaching to managers on performance-related matters.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance employee skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Manage the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
Conduct salary benchmarking and analysis.
Policy and Development and Compliance:
Develop and update HR policies in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practices.
HR Analytics:
Utilize HR analytics to provide insights into workforce trends and metrics.
Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
Collaborate with leadership to create an inclusive workplace culture.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional HR certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years working experience with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
In-depth knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office.
Not more than 45 years old.
