We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Title: Legal and Compliance Partner - Anglophone West Africa Network
The main purpose of this role is to provide legal advice on a wide range of matters, manage legal agreements, ensure compliance with regulations and policies, develop and implement compliance strategies, monitor compliance activities and risks, engage with internal stakeholders, and collaborate with global teams.
Key Challenges
Legal Advisory and Support: Provide timely and accurate legal advice on a wide range of matters including procurement, business partnerships, strategic agreements, and litigation. Manage legal agreements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Conduct legal entity corporate and secretarial duties as required
Compliance Management: Develop and implement compliance strategies tailored to the Network, including training programs and spot checks. Monitor and report on compliance activities and risks, recommending enhancements as necessary. Ensure operational compliance with legal and regulatory standards, industry codes, and data privacy requirements
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal stakeholders to address legal and compliance concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.Collaborate with the regional and global Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management teams to align strategies and initiatives
Key Areas of Responsibilities
Serve as the primary legal and compliance contact at the network level
Ensure legal and compliance activities are aligned with Roche DIA's strategy
Provide timely and accurate legal advice and support
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal and compliance issues
Monitor and report on compliance activities and risks
Contribute to the development and implementation of legal and compliance strategies
Manage legal agreements and compliance initiatives within the market
Ensure adherence to company secretarial requirements as necessary
Requirements
Who you are as our ideal candidate:
You hold an LLB or equivalent legal Degree from a reputable university and you are an admitted attorney or advocate
You have at least 8 years of experience in a commercial legal environment
You exhibit proficiency in compliance management and risk assessment, you have knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks within the market and you are familiar with pharmaceutical/diagnostics and distributor management frameworks. You have sound knowledge of data privacy legislative requirements. Strong communication, negotiation, and prioritization skills are required
