About the Role

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining innovative and visually appealing websites using the WordPress platform.
• The WordPress Developer should have a strong understanding of industry trends, content management systems, and an eye for detail to deliver seamless and user-friendly website experiences

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins to meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure the responsiveness and optimal performance of websites across various devices and browsers.
• Conduct website testing and troubleshooting to resolve issues, bugs, or inconsistencies.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and WordPress developments to incorporate best practices into projects.
• Collaborate with design and UX/UI teams to implement visually appealing and user-friendly website interfaces.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users or clients as needed.
• Conduct regular website audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Maintain a strong focus on website security and implement necessary measures to safeguard against potential threats.
• Keep detailed documentation of coding activities for future reference and team collaboration.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (preferred).
• Certifications in WordPress or related technologies are a plus.
• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress-powered websites.
• In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, custom theme development, and plugin customization.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with website performance optimization and SEO best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Condition

• This is a contract based role with per project payments and hourly rates for maintenance and support work.
