Background
We are seeking to hire a qualified and technically competent Utility and Operations (U & OPs) for its Aluminium and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant.
The Factory, which is based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminium and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):
Utility System Management: Supervise the operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility systems such as electricity, water, gas, compressor, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Infrastructure Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of facilities, buildings, equipment, and machinery to support uninterrupted operations.
Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop and manage budgets for utility operations, maintenance activities, and infrastructure upgrades. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations related to utility operations and infrastructure management.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement measures to mitigate operational disruptions, safety hazards, and environmental impacts associated with utility systems and infrastructure.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: Implement initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce resource consumption, and promote sustainability within utility operations and infrastructure.
Emergency Preparedness: Develop contingency plans and protocols to respond to emergencies, power outages, natural disasters, and other incidents affecting utility systems and infrastructure.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers involved in utility operations, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to utility usage, performance metrics, maintenance activities, and operational efficiency. Generating reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement, technological advancements, and best practices to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of utility operations and infrastructure management.
Education and Experience
A Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Utility Management, Project Management, or another relevant field.
Candidates with 3 - 7 years experience in utility management, operations management, or related fields, preferably one conversant with the aluminum factory process.
