Job Title: Forex Remittance Business Development Manager

Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager for our forex remittance business, your primary focus will be on targeting and engaging corporate clients who require offshore payments in foreign currencies.
You will play a crucial role in expanding our client base, building strong relationships, and maximizing revenue opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of the forex industry, financial markets, and international payment systems, along with exceptional sales and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
Client Acquisition: Identify and target corporates in Nigeria that have a need for offshore payments in foreign currencies. Develop a robust pipeline of potential clients through market research, networking, and prospecting activities.
Business Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their forex remittance requirements. Understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their specific payment goals.
Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales efforts to achieve revenue targets and increase market share. Develop and execute effective sales strategies, including conducting product presentations, negotiating pricing, and closing deals.
Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Gather intelligence on potential clients, competitors, and market opportunities to inform business development strategies and decision-making.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, compliance, and customer service, to ensure seamless onboarding, transaction processing, and overall client satisfaction.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, anti money laundering (AML) policies, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Conduct due diligence on prospective clients to mitigate risks associated with forex remittance transactions.
Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare regular reports on sales activities, revenue performance, and market insights. Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to the development of business growth plans.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Additional certifications in finance or sales will be a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales roles within the financial services industry, preferably in forex remittance, international payments, or banking sectors.
Forex Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of forex markets, foreign exchange rates, and international payment systems. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing forex remittance activities in Nigeria.
Corporate Sales Expertise: Proven track record in acquiring and managing corporate clients, particularly in the context of offshore payments. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at various organizational levels. Strong networking and negotiation skills.
Results-Oriented: Self-motivated and target-driven with a focus on delivering measurable results.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to gather and interpret market data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable business strategies.
Compliance Mindset: Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the financial services industry, including AML and KYC procedures.
Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM systems, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
Language Skills: Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Additional language proficiency will be an advantage.
