Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join its team as the Group Head of Finance and Risk Management.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial operations and risk management activities across the organization.
This position requires a deep understanding of financial principles, risk management methodologies, and regulatory compliance
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and oversee the implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the organization.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections.
Risk Management:
Develop and implement comprehensive risk management policies, procedures, and controls.
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks across the organization, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and make adjustments as necessary.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, statements, and regulatory filings.
Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and laws.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews.
Strategic Planning and Decision Support:
Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making processes.
Evaluate investment opportunities, capital allocation strategies, and potential acquisitions.
Collaborate with other departments to assess the financial impact of business initiatives and projects.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate financial performance, risks, and recommendations to senior management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, lenders, regulators, and auditors.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or FRM is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, risk management, or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement.
Strong understanding of financial principles, risk management methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
