Job Title: Area Sales Representative
Locations: Enugu, Owerri - Imo and Port Harcourt - Rivers

Job Description
An Area Sales Representative is responsible for interacting with potential customers within his/her given area of sales and marketing.
S/he acts as a point of contact between the customer and business and perform a range of activities from identifying customer needs to fulfilling them by providing the right products and services to them.
S/he would be required to have good interpersonal and communication skills in order to perform their duties effectively. Driving growth and revenue would be their primary objective.
Responsibilities
Meeting with potential and actual clients for sales and marketing, on behalf of the company
Generate leads and convert them to sales for the Company
Demonstrating and presenting products to the customers
Supervising, managing and overseeing merchandisers/ promoters placed under your supervision
Maintaining accurate records of sales
Attend trade exhibitions, events, conferences, and meetings, on behalf of the company
Reviewing Sales Performance
Working towards meeting weekly, monthly and annual targets.
Selling products or services to customers, and representing the brand. This can include asking questions to pinpoint the best offerings, giving demos or presentations, and maintaining customer relationships
Reaching out to potential leads through a variety of channels, such as physical reach, email, phone, text, and social media
Negotiating with leads and using persuasion techniques to overcome objections and landing deals that are beneficial to the company, while also providing customers with optimal value.
Using a variety of sales strategies and techniques to close deals and achieve their sales goals and targets
Submitting and processing orders to ensure customers receive the products or services they request on time
Participating in company meetings with sales managers and other sales executives. This usually involves providing a recap of recent results and accomplishments to show they’re hitting their quotas
Negotiating contracts and packages on behalf of the Company
Gathering market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trends
Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs
Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability
Qualifications
B.Sc / HND from an accredited institution. Professional sales and marketing qualification will be an added advantage.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years relevant sales and marketing experience, including 1year experience inWines and Spirits or FMCG Sector.
Candidate MUST have extensive experience in Open Market, Modern Trade and HORECA
Candidate must apply base on the State of residency. There is no relocation.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Ability to travel extensively
Excellent negotiation skills with a customer service attitude
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Time management skills, self-motivated, and problem-solving skills
Ability to make decisions independently
