Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Ikosi-Ketu, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Develop production plans and schedules based on sales forecasts, order requirements, and production capacity to meet customer demands.
Coordinate with sales, design, and merchandising teams to understand product requirements, production timelines, and quality standards.
Monitor production progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency and meet production targets.
Sewing and Garment Production:
Utilize sewing skills and expertise to oversee garment production processes, including fabric cutting, pattern making, stitching, and finishing.
Train and mentor sewing staff on advanced sewing techniques, quality standards, and production procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality output.
Troubleshoot sewing machine issues, resolve technical problems and implement preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of sewing personnel, including seamstresses, tailors, and sewing machine operators, to achieve production goals and quality objectives.
Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to sewing staff to enhance their skills, productivity, and teamwork.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the production team to drive operational excellence and achieve organizational goals.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate production records, including production schedules, work orders, and inventory reports.
Generate regular production reports and performance metrics to track production efficiency, yield rates, and quality performance.
Analyze production data, identify trends, and provide insights to management for decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or any other Social Sciences. Additional certifications or training in production management are desirable.
Proven experience in sewing and various aspects of fashion production, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques, sewing machinery, and production processes within the fashion industry.
Proficiency in using production planning tools and productivity software to manage production operations and track performance metrics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to identify production bottlenecks, analyze production data, and implement process improvements.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing production requirements, customer demands, and market trends.
Applicants MUST know how to make wears
Proximity to IKOSI-KETU is a plus.
Salary
N80,000 monthly.
