Job Summary
The main objective of the role holder is to recruit international students from Nigeria, ensuring the company meets its recruitment targets.
This post will cover the whole student experience from the initial inquiry to the time of arrival and enrolment on campus.
Job Description
The International Student Recruitment Officer will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and guiding prospective students from Nigeria who are interested in pursuing higher education opportunities at universities in the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia.
The role requires a deep understanding of the destination countries' education systems, admissions processes, and visa requirements, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and their families.
Job Responsibilities
Student Outreach and Engagement:
Utilize various channels such as social media, online platforms, educational fairs, and networking events to reach out to potential students in Nigeria
Build relationships with schools, educational institutions, and counselling centres to promote partner universities and the services offered by the company.
Conduct informational sessions and workshops to educate students and parents about studying in the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia university options, application procedures, and visa requirements.
Admission Support:
Assist students in selecting universities based on their academic background, working experience, interests, and career goals.
Guide students through the application process, including completing university application forms, preparing required documents, and submitting applications to various universities.
Provide personalized advice and support to students throughout the admissions process, including interview preparation and portfolio development where applicable.
Relationship Management:
Act as a liaison between students, their families, and the company to ensure smooth communication and positive experiences throughout the recruitment journey.
Liaise with the line manager, various account managers, and university admissions offices to facilitate the admissions process and resolve any issues or concerns raised by students.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders within the company.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of student inquiries, applications, and admissions outcomes using the company's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
Generate reports on recruitment activities, application trends, and conversion rates to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze data to identify potential growth opportunities and target specific student demographics or regions for recruitment efforts.
Professional Development:
Stay informed about trends and developments in the international education sector, including changes to university rankings, scholarship opportunities, and emerging study destinations.
Participate in training sessions, webinars, and professional development workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to student recruitment, admissions counselling, and visa advising.
Administrative task:
Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation related to student recruitment and admissions activities.
Assist in the development of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, to promote the company's services and attract prospective students.
Visa application processing and support:
Assist in advising students on the visa application process, including required documentation, financial requirements, and visa interview preparation.
Provide support in obtaining necessary documents such as CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) from universities and proof of financial support.
Stay updated on changes to destination countries' immigration policies and regulations that may affect international students, and communicate these updates to prospective students as needed.
Liaise with immigration authorities and visa processing centres to address any issues or concerns related to student visas
Requirements
National Diploma, Higher National Diploma, and Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, International Relations, Business Administration).
Previous experience in student recruitment, education consultancy, or related fields preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to engage with students and families from different backgrounds.
Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with educational CRM systems is a plus.
Willingness to travel within Nigeria for training or meetings.
In-depth knowledge of the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia education systems, university admissions processes, and visa regulations for international students.
Salary
N65,000 - N150,000 / month.
