Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Job Overview

• The Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and maximizing profitability.
• They are responsible for creating a positive dining experience for patrons, maintaining high standards of food quality and service, and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities
Operational Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and ensuring all operational tasks are completed efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.

Customer Service:

• Uphold a high standard of customer service by greeting guests, addressing concerns, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
• Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensure that staff are trained to provide excellent service.

Staff Management:

• Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and support staff.
• Create and maintain staff schedules, allocate tasks, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance and morale.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues or training needs.

Financial Management:

• Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales trends, expenses, and profitability.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, such as promotional events, menu changes, or cost-saving measures.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency to maximize profitability.

Menu Development and Quality Control:

• Work closely with the chef to develop and update menus that reflect current culinary trends, seasonal ingredients, and customer preferences.
• Ensure that food quality and presentation meet established standards and that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and specifications.

Marketing and Promotion:

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
• Utilize social media, advertising, and promotional events to increase visibility and drive traffic to the restaurant.
• Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and influencers to generate buzz and enhance the restaurant's reputation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role, preferably in a high-volume establishment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, food safety standards, and sanitation protocols.
• Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L analysis.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
