We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Product Development Specialist

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct market research to identify consumer needs, trends, and competitors' offerings.
• Analyze market data to identify gaps and opportunities for product development.

Product Conceptualization and Planning:

• Generate new product ideas based on market insights and company objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements, features, and specifications.
• Develop product roadmaps and timelines for execution.

Prototype Development and Testing:

• Work with design and engineering teams to create prototypes or product samples.
• Conduct usability tests and gather feedback to refine product designs.
• Ensure prototypes meet quality, regulatory, and safety standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with marketing, sales, operations, and other departments to align product development efforts with business goals.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to scale up production and launch new products.

Project Management:

• Manage product development projects from initiation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
• Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Implement project management best practices to optimize processes and drive efficiency.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain documentation related to product specifications, development process, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status, key findings, and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in Product Management is a plus.
• Proven experience (5 years) in product development, preferably in (tech/ telecom sector).
• Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialization.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Microsoft Project) is preferred.
• Preferred age range: 20 - 35years

Salary
N300,000 - N500,000 monthly.
