Job Title: School Bursar / Accountant

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Manage and supervise all financial transactions and procedures which includes raising cheques, invoices, vouchers etc. and monitoring expenditure to reduce unnecessary spending & wastages.
• Full bank reconciliation of all the school’s bank accounts.
• Responsible for the preparation, disbursement, and follow up of each term’s student school bill.
• Responsible for maintaining the school’s cash book, postings, disbursements, payment schedules, petty cash and account records.
• Prepare monthly reports on inflows and outflows for Managements consumption.
• Manage debt recovery of outstanding fees.
• Communicate & manage vendors, contractors and suppliers of all office consumables and goods.
• Communicate and manage Stakeholders of the School.
• Prepare monthly payroll and ensure timely payment of all staff salaries.
• Ensure monthly payments of Staff pension and PAYE (Pay as you earn) of all staff.
• Ensure payment of staff terminal benefits (If any)
• Manage payment of taxes (Withholding, vat, annual returns, levies etc)
• Track all expenses and income.
• Prepare for the compulsory annual Lagos state tax audit (Nigeria)
• Prepare, supervise and manage the school’s budget for the year.
• Manage the school’s parent council and expectations of all parents.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc Degrees in any related field with 3 - 11 years relevant work experience.

Salary
N120,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
