A Mining and Exploration company located in Oyo state, Nigeria, is recruiting suitable and experienced candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mine Surveyor

Location: Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Install and maintain U/G control stations for development and production.
• Undertake survey mark ups of development and production activities.
• Installation of line/grade for development control
• Prepare layouts and mine plans for Underground mark-ups as required.
• Assist with month end reporting of mine actuals from created as built models.
• Assist with survey re-traverse for QAQC of survey models.
• Conduct or direct surveys or surveys programs
• Prepare or supervise preparation of rock, mineral or metal samples.
• Assist in preparing rock, mineral or metal samples.
• Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections.
• Assist in hydrogeological field and laboratory studies.
• Conduct or assist in environmental audits, in the design of measures to minimize undesirable environmental effects of mining.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 7+ years relevant work experience.

Computer and technology knowledge:

• Computer-aided design (CAD)
• Geographic Information System (GIS)
• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
• MS Office.

Technical experience:

• Mapping and surveying
• Geological sampling analysis
• Seismic surveying
• Mineralogy techniques.

Area of work experience:

• Data interpretation and evaluation
• Development of methods and techniques
• Environmental monitoring
• Field sampling and data acquisition
• Geological mapping
• Industrial research.
