Job Description

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales and Marketing to lead our sales and marketing efforts.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the publishing industry, with a proven track record of driving sales and implementing effective marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
  • Lead the sales team, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure success.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and areas for growth within the publishing industry.
  • Collaborate with editorial and production teams to align sales and marketing efforts with publishing goals.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for product development and innovation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales and marketing initiatives, making adjustments as needed to optimize results.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the publishing industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Passion for literature and a deep understanding of the publishing industry.
