Job Purpose
This position will support the research and business intelligence unit of our real estate agency. The scope includes undertaking market research, data gathering, data analysis, intelligence reports, insights into relevant trends.
Job Summary
The position plays a crucial role in shaping the organization’s real estate projects by working very closely with the Head of Research to source for and provide strategic insights, data-driven analysis, and innovation across all stages of property sales, rentals, leases, and property development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the head of the unit to realise the goals set forth and contribute to setting clear objectives and goals.
Implement research and analysis strategies developed by the head of the unit to support the company's growth and expansion plans.
Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to guide our development strategies.
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and potential risks.
Analize market trends, demographics, and competitive landscapes to inform decision- making.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand client needs and preferences, and provide up to date commentary on competitors marketing activity, incentives, and product innovations.
Identify innovative solutions and technologies to enhance business sustainability.
Work within budgets and financial forecasting for the Research, Development & Property Analysis department.
Monitor profitability, making recommendations for cost reduction and profit optimization.
Work closely with the relevant teams to provide sales opinion and indicative pricing on proposed development for appraisal and bidding purposes whenever required.
Develop new external relationships and maintains existing ones with industry professionals and data sources.
Any other tasks as may be required by the business or as assigned by the COO and MD.
Qualifications
First Degree in relevant disciplines from a reputed university, preferably in Real Estate, Urban Studies, Economics, Finance, or related fields.
Knowledgeable about the commercial real estate & property market and best practices
Proven experience in real estate research, property analysis, and development.
Strong analytical, and data interpretation skills.
In-depth knowledge of the real estate market, including local and regional trends.
Effective communication and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
Competencies:
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel, and Power Point), PowerBI and other data manipulation/communication tools.
A good understanding of quantitative analytical tools and research methodologies.
Proficiency in the use of analytical and statistical software packages
Sound organizational and data management skills and ability to work under tight time constraints.
Demonstrate experience in research, field works, and data collection on issues relating to real estate.
Proven ability to manage large and complex databases.
