Katsina Amana Microfinance Bank Limited has 15 Branches spread across the State which the Board is desirous of restructuring in order to provide the needed financial services at the rural communities.

As part of the effort to revitalize the State-owned Microfinance Bank, the Board is recruiting a qualified candidate to fill the position below:

Job Description

• We are employing the services of a Managing Director with cognate experience, professional skills, financial acumen and strong understanding of Microfinance Bank Management.
• Experience in both Commercial Banking and Microfinance Banking would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing corporate strategies and operational guidelines aimed at achieving the goals and objectives of Amana Microfinance Bank Ltd.
• Establish Bank's policies and legal guidelines and ensuring that the policies and legal guidelines of the Bank are clearly communicated and adheres to.
• Provision of leadership and direction through providing professional guidance, inspiration, motivation to Executive Directors and other staff of the Bank.
• Stakeholder relations: Supervisory role in ensuring proper business operations and investment based on clear vision of the Bank for its profitability.
• Develop research programmes, public relations strategies and customer relation initiatives to promote the Bank in realizing its objectives.
• Develop marketing strategies that would ensure profitability, sustainable growth and expansion of the Bank.
• Strategic planning through providing short and long term plans in achieving the objectives of the Bank for its enhanced growth and development.
• Ensure a positive work environment: Ensure performance driven environment, capacity building and professional development activities.

Requirements

• A good Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Banking and Finance or any Social Science Discipline. A Master's Degree in Business Administration [MBA] or Financial Management would be an added advantage.
• Membership of Chartered Institute of Bankers/Microfinance or any relevant Professional Body.
• Minimum of 15 years working experience with 10 years' cognate management experience in either Commercial or Microfinance Banking.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team, interpersonal skills, knowledge of relevant laws amongst others.
• Must not be above 55 years of age.

The Salary, allowances and other fringe benefits of the Managing Director is attractive and negotiable.
