Sophia came up as a solution to a felt need and challenges observed by Sophia founder(s) in the international education sector, and to which current services are not solving adequately.

Job Description

• This is a contract / consultancy founding Software Developer/Engineering role, and we are looking for an ambitious and goal-oriented person who can assist our team in delivering an entire E-Learning/LMS web application development project from scratch, help build the entire development team around him/her and grow into senior roleswho has a stake in the enterprise spanning multiple businesses.

Role

• Design and develop the front-end and back-end of the e-learning web app.
• Build and customize Course Module System, User Authentication system, Wallet System, Admin Dashboard, Instructor Dashboard, CMS System, Realtime Chat feature, Notification API and Certificate Generation System.
• Implement a user-friendly interface that allows students to easily navigate through the website and find the resources they need
• Implement a payment gateway to allow students to purchase/subscribe for full access to courses on the learning platform.
• Ensure that the website is fully responsive and can be accessed on various devices such as laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.
• Be able to lead all aspects of web development including software design, task allocation, implementation, testing, documentation, ongoing support, and maintenance.
• Be able to develop scalable application in the future that can support 1000s of simultaneous users

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• In-depth knowledge of API development and integration, with a focus on creating efficient, scalable solutions for data handling and third-party services.
• Experience with FinTech software development
• Experience with real-time technologies like WebSockets for live data updates and interactions.
• A solid understanding of QA methodologies, with skills in both automated and manual testing to ensure software quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity, with the ability to innovate and find cost-effective solutions to technical challenges.
• Must be willing and able to deliver the entire project within two months of development.

Please Note:You will collaborate with a team of other developers.

Salary

• N250,000 per month ( fixed for a two months development.)
