Job Title: Instructional Designer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Background
Our company is undergoing a comprehensive evaluation and enhancement of its core product/platform. We recognize the pivotal role a proficient Instructional Designer can play in ensuring the success of this endeavor.
The selected Instructional Designer will collaborate closely with the rest of the product development team to ensure that products are being developed, and delivered with learning needs and outcomes taken into proper account
Role Description
As an Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in designing and developing engaging and effective learning experiences for our digital learning platform. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that have a direct impact on the learning journey of our users.
Note this is a Short Term Contract role based in Abuja, however applicants based outside Abuja, may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and instructional technologists to analyze learning needs, define learning objectives, and develop instructional strategies.
Design and develop instructional materials, including courses, modules, and assessments, tailored to different learning styles, and abilities.
Create interactive and multimedia-rich learning experiences using a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
Conduct research on best practices in instructional design, curriculum development, and educational technology, and apply them to enhance learning outcomes.
Develop assessments and evaluation strategies to measure learner progress, mastery, and satisfaction, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in education, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in instructional design models and principles, such as ADDIE, SAM, or Design Thinking.
Experience with e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Moodle, or Canvas.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for creating innovative and engaging learning experiences.
