Job Title: Institutional Support Associate - Nigeria Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement (SCALE)

Project Overview and Role
The Nigeria SCALE project is a USAID-funded 5-year project (Oct 08, 2020 – Oct 07, 2025), implemented by Palladium in collaboration with the local resource partners.
The goal of the Nigeria SCALE project is to strengthen the financial, management and advocacy capacity of local civil society organizations (CSOs) and Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) in Nigeria to create a more accountable, transparent, peaceful, and democratic Nigeria with more effective and efficient public service delivery.
The SCALE project supports civil society organizations (CSOs) and business membership organizations (BMOs) across all of USAID/Nigeria’s programmatic sectors with a basket of managerial, business strengthening, and advocacy capacity-building interventions aimed at advancing Nigerian CSO sustainability combined with targeted grants to advance mutually agreed upon priorities.
The project is designed to enhance local civil society organizations’ ability to be positive and responsible change agents in Nigeria.
The project has five main components: 1) Component One – Improve CSO organizational capacity, 2) Component Two – Enhance capacity for CSO advocacy, collaboration and management, 3) Component Three – Improve the policy and regulatory environment for civil society, 4) Component Four – Countering Trafficking in Persons (CTIP), and 5) Component Five – Sector strengthening and advocacy.
Purpose of Position
The Institutional Support Associate will be a member of the technical team.
This position will support technical, administrative, and monitoring support for SCALE Component One activities.
The objective of the component is to improve organizational capacity and institutional strengthening for sustainability.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Supports Component One with planning and logistics for activities including trainings and forums.
Assists organizational capacity assessment teams to conduct assessments.
Supports editorial reviews of reports and plans from Organizational Capacity Assessments for SCALE partners.
Provides technical support for documentation of progress in implementing capacity development plans of organizations assessed.
Provides secretarial, administrative, and logistical support for meetings and other project events and writes detailed reports of such events.
Supports generation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, including success stories, and tracking progress on workplan, targets, and indicators.
Follow up on results and achievements of beneficiaries of Component One activities including the OD marketplace graduates and SCALE Webinar Series participants.
Maintains technical filing systems including updating SharePoint for the technical team.
Supports technical team to track and process payments for project partners and event participants.
Maintains smooth relationships with all SCALE teams, partners, and stakeholders
Other tasks as deemed necessary by the technical team.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Arts, Administration, Knowledge Management, or related field.
Relevant experience in program management, partner management, training and office operations/administration.
Competency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
Ability to maintain financial records and prepare financial reports.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
Ability to take initiative, work independently, and to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong oral/written communication skills in English.
Experience with USAID-funded governance programs highly desired.
