Brighthouse Academy is a privately owned educational institution located in a serene part of Kogi State, away from the hustle and bustle of the state capital but situated along a federal highway. The Academy offers nursery, primary and secondary education to less privileged/indigent pupils across Okun Land in Kogi State. They have an integrated curriculum that is designed to provide quality and competence-based education to enable their pupils to compete with children from any part of the world. The school sits on four (4) hectares of land with all classrooms equipped with smart learning devices, online resources, and 24/7 power supply.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nursery / Early Years Teacher

Location: Ayetoro Gbede, Ijumu LGA - Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Description

• This is a full-time Early Years Teacher role located at Brighthouse Academy in Lokoja. The Early Years Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing an engaging and stimulating curriculum and creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that helps children to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
• The Early Years Teacher will work collaboratively with other teachers, parents, and administration to provide the best education to the pupils.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Alternatively, a degree in other fields with PGD in education
• Or, National Certificate in Education (NCE) qualification with a minimum 3 years of experience
• At least two (2) years' experience as an Early Years Teacher
• TRCN certification will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Thorough knowledge of early childhood development theories, practices, and techniques
• Ability to create effective learning environments focused on play-based learning
• Must be able to multitask and think creatively
• Experience in developing eLearning resources.
• At least basic experience with computing devices – computers, scanner, printers etc.

Salary
N70,000 / month.
