Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Surulere, Lagos

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Collaborate with department heads to create annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments as needed.

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with Nigerian tax regulations.
• Stay updated on tax laws and advise the organization on tax-saving opportunities. Internal Controls:
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Conduct periodic audits to assess compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 to 7years of relevant accounting experience.
• ICAN Member (Chartered) certification.
• Must be ready to resume immediately

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
