Job Title: Geologist

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Geologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key role in leading and managing geological projects, providing expert advice, and contributing to the success of our objectives.
• You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including data analysis, resource exploration, project management, and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee geological surveys and investigations.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret geological data using various tools and software.
• Identify and evaluate potential resource deposits (e.g., minerals, oil & gas).
• Develop and implement geological models to assess feasibility and risks.
• Manage and mentor junior geologists and other team members.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geological theory and technology.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Geology or a related field (e.g., Geophysics, Geochemistry).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, with at least 4 years of experience in a senior-level position.
• Proven experience in managing and leading geological projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in geological software and data analysis tools (e.g., GIS, ArcGIS, GOCAD).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
