Nutri K Limited Is a subsidiary of Nutriset Group which was established to provide technical support in the specialized manufacturing, commercialization and distribution process of ready to-use food for the treatment and prevention of malnutrition in Nigeria. With a population of nearly 180 million people, Nigeria is the biggest economy in Africa. However, every year, over 500.000 children under the age of five years old die from malnutrition.
About 1.7million of Nigerian children suffer from severe acute malnutrition, and close to a third of the 10 million under 5 age children suffer from chronic malnutrition; Nutri K Limited is dedicated to the fight against malnutrition in Nigeria. The company specialized in manufacturing nutritional food used for the care of children affected by malnutrition. NUTRIK supplies humanitarian and health project with high quality ready-to-use-therapeutic and supplementary food (RUTF, RUSF), as well as lipid-based nutrient supplements (LNS).
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head Guard
Location: Kano
General objective
The Head Guard oversees daily security operations, ensuring that Nutri K environment remains secure.
Your responsibilities involve not only managing the security team but also maintaining and enforcing vital security protocols.
You'll play a pivotal role in identifying and addressing potential risks, collaborating with various departments, and strategizing to neutralize threats.
As the point person for both internal and external stakeholders, you'll provide guidance and support to the security team, ensuring the overall security and well-being of Nutri K.
Responsibilities
Ensure only authorized persons are allowed into the facility.
Document and maintain an up-to-date log of all authorized visitors (or persons) into the premises (Logbook, Visitor Register, etc)
Take appropriate action in the event of an incident or accident in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Undertake regular patrol and surveillance of facility proactively to identify potential threats or risks.
Control, monitor and document access for both persons, goods, or parcels in and out of the premises.
Monitor and support vehicle parking within the facility, as applicable.
Reporting of all security and safety related findings or issues in line with reporting line
Document incidents & maintain logs, reports, and findings.
Maintain records of movement of goods & supplies entering and/leaving premises including waybills.
Support and control emergency response procedures and evacuation.
Provide support and assistance to person(s) – staff and visitors within premises, in the event of an emergency, evacuations or incidents that may pose threat to life and/or property.
Guards must be courteous, professional, appear neat and presentable in official uniform.
Ensure security of facilities and assets.
Access sanitation facilities as provided by Client.
To search all incoming and outgoing vehicle at highly secured /sensitive locations
To check waybills/supplier’s authorization before entry
To issue tags to visitors, contractors, suppliers, clients etc. in accordance with management orders.
Maintain accurate daily occurrence logs and incident reports.
To maintain records of stock/inventory receivables and dispatch, as applicable
To escalate and cascade incidents in line with the chain of command.
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly security reports.
Provide security intelligence on threats, dangers, or hazards within and around the facility.
Provide weekly security briefings and advisory to Client personnel and contractors, as applicable.
Provide deployed personnel with requisite operations and systems training to ensure sustained and uncompromised security standards.
To collaborate productively with the local security agents to obtain intelligence.
Always maintain the required standard level of security.
Any other responsibilities assigned by line manager.
Required Skills
Education Degree - School Certificate (WASC/SSCE) + 5 years’ relevant experience in Industrial Security/Government Intelligence Agencies/Army Forces.
Language skills - English & Hausa is essential.
Work experience; Proven experience in a security supervisory role, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Computer skills - MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook.
