Ikore is an international development organization proffering innovative solutions to drive sustainable social and enterprise development. Working in economically deprived places and vulnerable communities torn apart by instability across Nigeria and providing solutions that support inefficient markets and communities is implementing an agricultural mechanization service intervention aimed at enhancing access of smallholder farmers to affordable and sustainable mechanization services in Nigeria.
The project aims to create work opportunities for mechanization service providers, tractor operators, and others in the mechanization value chain. The project’s primary target is young men and women in peri-urban and rural communities, providing bundled mechanization services. Ultimately, the project focuses on capacity-building, affordable last-mile services, financial inclusion, technology integration, and policy enhancement.

Job Title: Product Manager (TractracPLUS)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Product Manager (TractracPLUS) will be responsible for defining the product strategy and roadmap for TRACTRACPLUS.
They will deliver the Market and Product Requirement Documents, prioritize features, and collaborate with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities. The Product Manager will also manage beta and pilot programs for early-stage products and samples.
Responsibilities
Define the product strategy and roadmap for TRACTRACPLUS, aligning it with the company's overall goals and vision.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Develop Market and Product Requirement Documents (MRD/PRD) that outline product features, functionalities, and specifications.
Prioritize product features based on customer feedback, market demands, and business objectives.
Collaborate with external third parties, such as vendors or potential partners, to evaluate partnerships and licensing opportunities.
Coordinate beta and pilot programs to gather feedback and insights from users for early-stage products and samples.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure the successful development and launch of products.
Gather and analyse data, conduct user testing, and utilize feedback to continuously improve and iterate on product offerings.
Monitor product performance, conduct post-launch evaluations, and make data-driven decisions for product enhancements and updates.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to identify potential opportunities or threats.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
Provide product training and support to internal teams, including sales, customer support, and implementation teams.
Serve as a product evangelist, effectively communicating product benefits, features, and value propositions to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. (A master's degree is a plus)
3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the software or technology industry.
Proven track record of successfully defining and launching products in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of product management principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making.
Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with product management tools and software.
